The Pocket Park at 30th & 1/2 was founded in 2023, after neighbors finally got tired of looking out their back doors onto an overgrown alley.  Inspired by the many visiting bird species – and exasperated by the many invasive plant species – the neighbors decided to turn the tiny triangle of land into a public greenspace filled with native plants that could nourish human, avian, and insect denizens alike.
